In today’s competitive retail landscape, your brand's story is your most powerful asset. That’s why we were thrilled to collaborate with Polo South Africa on a striking brand activation at the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

The brief was clear: create an eye-catching display that could stop foot traffic, tell a compelling story, and hold up under the demanding conditions of one of South Africa’s busiest shopping centres. The result? A 9-meter-wide feature wall that brought the powerful narrative of @zandithemermaid to life.

The Display

Crafted entirely from durable 16mm Xanita Board, the structure stood proudly at 1.5 meters tall and stretched across 9 meters, drawing immediate attention with its bold design and storytelling impact. The activation served as a canvas for Zandi’s journey—a narrative celebrating cultural identity, empowerment, and self-expression—brought to life with vibrant visuals and thoughtful layout.

Despite the scale and volume of foot traffic, the display maintained its integrity throughout the five-day installation, standing strong against bumps, knocks, and constant interaction from curious shoppers.

Beyond its visual appeal, the display was engineered for efficiency. The wall was quick and easy to assemble, making logistics smoother for the activation team. This flexibility not only reduced setup time but also enabled seamless disassembly and reuse—an important consideration for brands looking to extend the life of their assets across multiple activations.
